The Wrecking Crew moniker has been a division name in the ADFFL for nearly the entire length of the League. The name is drawn from the famous defenses of the Texas A&M football team from the late 1980s to mid-1990s. Those defenses were fierce, team-focused units that struck fear into opposing offenses. That same era was when the ADFFL began and many of the owners attended the school.
