Franchises

In the 25 years of the ADFFL, there have been 32 franchises.  Some have come and gone, and come again.  In the early college years, there was much turnover, and as owners entered the workforce, turnover yet again.  Despite the continuous adaptations, more than half of the current owners have 15 or more years of tenure.

The ADFFL began as an 8-team league, but then shifted to a 10-team league for the next 23.  In 2017, the owners agreed to expand to a dozen teams.  Franchises exist in four different states, three time zones, and in both small college towns and major metropolitan areas.
